Wagman, Fred (1937-)

Born on February 6, 1937, Fred Wagman’s broadcasting career began in 1957, and helped prepare him for an innovative role in cable television and local television production. In 1975, Wagman was appointed president and chief executive officer of Cable Regina, a television co-operative known today as Access Communications. Part of Wagman’s vision is his focus on community, either through cable television programming or his involvement in such organizations as the Saskatchewan Roughriders Football Club and the Regina Chamber of Commerce. He received the Saskatchewan Order of Merit in 2001 in recognition of his service to the community.
