Rezansoff, Paul J. (1942-)

Paul Rezansoff was born on March 16, 1942. After teaching art for twenty-four years in Swift Current, he continues to promote arts and culture in his community. He is responsible for a number of artistic “firsts” in Swift Current, including a volunteer art gallery and a National Exhibition Centre gallery. Rezansoff has also facilitated the hosting of musical and artistic entertainment in the city. He served as president of the Swift Current Allied Arts Council and the Saskatchewan Society for Education through Art, and was vice-chair of the Saskatchewan Arts Board. He has received the Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal (1996), the Queen's Silver Jubilee Medal (1977), the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal (2002), and in February 2001 was invested as a member of the Order of Canada.
