Azevedo, E.N. (Ted) (1916-2004)

Born in Strasbourg in 1916, Ted Azevedo promoted issues relating to Saskatchewan senior citizens such as home care, pensions, preventive health, activity centres, and housing. In 1977, he was appointed chairman of the Saskatchewan Senior Citizens Provincial Council. He served as president of the Saskatchewan Senior Association from 1981 to 1989 and was first vice-president of the National Pensioners and Seniors Foundation of Canada. Azevedo received the Saskatchewan Order of Merit in 1989.
