Founder of Opera Saskatchewan, Doris Knight has introduced this multimedia art form to the entire province. Working full-time and on a voluntary basis, Knight has served as president of Opera Saskatchewan since its inception in 1992. Her efforts as a fundraiser and promoter of community involvement in the productions have given local performers, musicians, and technicians an opportunity to display their talents. Knight has also devoted her time to community organizations such as the United Appeal and the Canadian Diabetes Association. She was made a Member of the Order of Canada in 1996.
