Born in Regina on February 18, 1947, Donald Black has shown distinguished leadership in the Canadian financial services sector and in his own community. Since his graduation from the University of Regina, Black has occupied various posts with a number of large corporations. He served as president and chief executive officer of Saskatchewan Government Insurance from 1982 to 1985 and as Director and chair of Farm Credit Corporation for five years beginning in 1995. He is currently deputy chair and chief executive officer of Greystone Capital Management Inc. Black has also devoted his time and expertise to a variety of community organizations including the United Way of Regina and the Hospitals of Regina Foundation Inc. He was made a Member of the Order of Canada in 2002.
