Association of Translators and Interpreters of Saskatchewan (ATIS)

Incorporated in 1980, ATIS is a non-profit professional association committed to fostering and promoting translation and interpretation in the province. It is an affiliate of the Canadian Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters Council (CTTIC), which itself represents Canada in the Fédération internationale des traducteurs (FIT), a worldwide organization of translators' associations from more than fifty countries. ATIS gives users of translation services access to a body of competent professionals, and provides a collective voice for its members, ensuring that they conform to its Code of Ethics. The Association deals with a wide variety of languages including French, Cree, Spanish, Serbo-Croatian, Chinese and Japanese among many others, as well as American Sign Language.
