Redhead Equipment Ltd. is a diversified company which generates $130 million in annual revenue serving the trucking, construction, oil and gas, and agricultural industries in Saskatchewan. It has six state-of-the-art facilities employing over 240 people, with two locations in Regina, two in Saskatoon, one in Lloydminster and one location in Swift Current. Redhead provides 24-hour emergency parts and service.
Redhead Equipment was originally a Champion motor grader dealer, but expanded in 1971 to also become the John Deere construction equipment dealer. In 1990, operations diversified by adding Mack trucks. In 1991, Redhead Equipment resigned as the John Deere dealer and acquired the Case Equipment dealership, including both construction and agricultural equipment. In 1998, Champion was purchased by Volvo Construction Equipment and as a result, in 2001 Redhead Equipment added Volvo construction equipment to its product line.
Redhead Equipment got its start in 1948 under the name of W.F. Fuller Machinery Limited. Gordon Redhead worked there until 1968, at which time he purchased the business and changed the name to Redhead Equipment Ltd. In 1980, Gary Redhead, Gordon's son, bought out his father's interest in Redhead Equipment and became the president and chief executive officer.
