Boucher, John B.

Born in St. Louis, Saskatchewan, John B. Boucher is a Senator of the Métis Nation–Saskatchewan. Since the 1960s, Senator Boucher has been active in Métis politics as an advocate of Métis rights, self-governance, and fair land claim settlements. Other organizations that have benefited from his guidance are the St. Louis Métis Local, the Aboriginal Advisory Board for the RCMP, and the Métis National Council. Senator Boucher was made a Member of the Order of Canada in 2002.
