May 24, 1982 - Last Mountain Lake , North America's oldest Migratory Bird Sanctuary, was designated a Ramsar site. It is home to Sandhill Cranes, Piping Plover, Red Fox, Badger, Coyote, Jack Rabbit and White-tailed Deer.Contributions
